Join Desert Voices?
Basic Information
- We are a 4-voice (SATB) community chorus welcoming all singers regardless of
age (>18), gender, race, creed or sexuality. - Rehearsals are Sundays 5:30-8:30 pm at Rincon Congregational Church 122 N. Craycroft
- We are a non-audition Community Chorus. New Singer Orientation and voice checks will take place on Sunday, September 8th. Time TBA. You do not need to prepare music for the voice check - it is an opportunity for the artistic director to get to know you and your voice and what section/part you should sing. This is important for singing in a range that is comfortable for your voice type and will contribute to your success in the choir!
- We welcome new singers twice a year: Aug/Sep for the Fall Semester and Jan/Feb for the Spring Semester.
- We perform at least 2 major concerts each semester plus many opportunities for outreach performances such as Pride Night, Women's March, AIDSWALK, etc.
- Dues = $90/semester; scholarships available.
- FYI, our two June 2024 Concert performances were attended by over 500!
